Robert William BILLINGS

1815-1874

Billings was an architect, painter and engraver in line and aquatint.

He painted topographical views but is best known for the quality of his architectural paintings. His work was published as steel  engravings in lavish volumes with descriptive texts and a comprehensive list of the subscribers.
