Location: Highland, Scotland
I was scouting locations when the clouds parted and light flooded a hazeless Loch Torridon. I had already spotted a potential location for a photo from the road which overlooked the loch and in the fast disappearing light I sprinted up to the vantage point to shoot. As I took the initial photo something simply didn't feel right. I was pretty tired already from the first sprint but spotted a higher and more distant vantage point further up the headland. Do I stay where I was and guarantee the light or make for an unknown vantage point? I guess sometimes you just have to follow your gut feeling and I packed up my entire setup and once again ran headlong up the hill. As I ran and beads of sweat fell I could see the shadow moving across the bottom area of land and knew I would have little time to react once I arrived at my new destination. I managed to shoot 6 versions of the shot presented here before the light disappeared. But knew I was in the right spot.
