To celebrate the “David Bowie is” exhibition at the V&A and the release of the new album
“The Next Day”, the Artists Gallery brings you a selection of David Bowie images.
Between 1972 and 1980 Brian Duffy shot five photographic sessions with David Bowie-Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, Thin White Duke, Scary Monsters and The Lodger. The Most Famous was their collaboration on the Aladdin Sane album cover, one of the most recognisable and influential images in popular culture now in it’s 40th anniversary year and nicknamed
“The Mona Lisa of Pop”.
